Absolutely Truly, by Heather Vogel Fredrick

Absolutely Truly is about a girl called Truly who tries to solve a mystery and also tries to save her family’s book store. Absolutely Truly is for young adults. Truly Lovejoy is twelve years old and is about 6 feet tall. Truly’s father was in the army and he got his right arm blown off. Truly goes to Pumpkin Falls with her family to help her dad get better, physcially and mentally. The Lovejoys, with the help of Aunt True, have started to run the Lovejoy bookstore. The Lovejoys will give it 6 weeks for the bookstore to earn money or they will sell the store. Truly finds an old copy first edition signed copy of Charlotte’s Web. In the book there is a love letter to a unknown person and they want to find out who the person the letter is supposed to be for and who found it. If the Lovejoys can sell this book they will not have to sell the book store. Can Truly solve the mystery and help save the store?

I thought that Absolutely Truly was a great book. I loved it. You could tell what was happening next and it was really funny. The fact that it was in a small backwards town made it even better. Everyone of the characters had their own lives and you got each one of them. Five Stars. I am reading See You in the Cosmos so be prepared. Thanks for Reading!!! Have a great day!!! -annaleeliz and Buttons

Why I Am Here Post

Hello!!! I just realized that I have not explained why I am here!!! I love to read and I can read really fast for someone my age. When I was between second and third grad I finished the Harry Potter series in a week. I can not share my views on books with my classmates because my reading level is above them. I have already read the books that they are reading. It is really boring. So I decided to start a blog of book reviews where I could talk to other book loving people. I would like to meet other book loving people on this blog. It would be much appreciated. I love blogging and I hope you love reading my blog. Thanks for reading!!! Have a great day!!! -annaleeliz and Buttons

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is about Harry finally facing Voldermort and finding the Horcurxes (deadly pieces of Voldermort’s soul) and destroying them. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is for young adults. Harry thinks that it is a good idea to skip his last year at Hogwarts and he is bringing his with him. Harry is also about the most wanted person in the whole magical world. With Muggles and wizards being killed and  Mudbloods being sent to Azkaban everyone is panicking. Lots of people have decided that cutting school and helping Harry Potter in any way they can is a great idea. Harry is trying to kill or stop Voldermort in any way he can and sometimes it foes not work very well. Well, I know I wish luck to Harry as he tries to fight the Dark Lord.

Two book reviews in a day is to much for me I believe that one a day will do. I know that from now on I will be slowing down when I read. I thought Harry Potter and the Deathly Halllows was an okay book. J. K. Rowling spends to much time writing about Harry and not enough about what the people in Harry’s world are feeling. Four Stars. Thanks for reading!!! Happy Memorial Day!!! -annaleeliz and Buttons

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, by J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is about Harry discovering a Potions book with notes in it written in it by the mysterious Half-Blood Prince. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is for young adults. Harry is now the best at Potions and has private lesons with Dumbledore. There is a new teacher at Hogwarts(again) called Professor Slughorn. Professor Slughorn will be teaching Potions and Professor Snape will be teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. Harry thinks that Draco Malfoy is up to something and has become a Death Eater. The old Minister of Magic resigned and the new Minister would like Harry to become the poster boy for the Ministry of Magic. Harry is now Captain of the Quidditch team and he has a girlfriend. Harry has private lessons with Dumbledore, Quidditch, finding out what Malfoy is up to, and trying to figure out who the Half-Blood Prince is. Can Harry do it all?

I thought Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was amazing. This book is a fast read which you can not put it down for to long without forgetting what has happened. I do not normally read fast paced books so this was fun. I loved Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Five Stars. Thanks for reading!!! Have a great day!!! -annaleeliz and Buttons

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, by J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is about Harry trying to survive Hogwarts with a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher that doesn’t teach dark arts, people hating him because of snide comments in the newspaper and a crush on a hot Quidditch player. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is for young adults. Harry is a troubled boy who has mental issues, according to the Daily Prophet. The new Defense Against the  Dark Arts teacher is called Professor Umbridge. Harry gets detention with her almost once a week. The Ministry of Magic does not believe that Voldermort is back so Harry is called a liar and since Dumbledore is believes Harry so people think that Dumbledore is giving Harry special treatment. Can Harry survive being mistreated like this?

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is so long! It took me about eight hours to read that book. Harry is sad because he thinks everyone is ignoring him. Everyone is so mean to Harry in this book and it makes me so sad. Thankfully the rest of the books get better. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is such a great book but it is so sad. J. K. Rowling could have made the book a bit happier. Four Stars. Thanks for reading!!! -annaleeliz and Buttons

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, by J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is about Harry entering the Triwizard Tournament and how he faces the challenges. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is for young adults. Harry is taller and older and is probably more sensitive to pain. After the horrible  Quidditch World Cup where Muggles where hung by their feet it is time to go back to school. There is another new teacher at Hogwarts, Professor Moody. This year is the year of the Triwizard Tournament. Since some people have died in the tournament there is an age limit. Harry does not qualify but his name is pulled out of the Goblet of Fire anyway. That is not the only problem at Hogwarts. A reporter called Rita Skeeter has been getting false information about people and the Triwizard Tournament. She needs to be stopped. Harry needs to stay away from Rita Skeeter and survive the Triwizard Tournament.

I thought Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was great. I love Harry Potter. I am fangirling over it right now. I can’t wait for the day the next Harry Potter book comes out. Hurry up J. K. Rowling!!! This book is so sad. I hate it when people die in books. I want this pillow thing that “Cry on me when your favorite character dies.” I need that pillow. I do not think that there can be any better character then Harry Potter. Everyone loves Harry Potter. Five Stars. Thanks for reading!!! Have a great day!!! -annaleeliz and Buttons
