Flowers For Algernon, by Daniel Keyes

Flowers For Algernon is about a mentally challenged man called Charlie Gorden who becomes a genius. Flowers For Algernon is for young adults. Charlie works in a bakery and has many friends. Charlie goes to a school for mentally challenged adults and is the person who works the hardest in the school. Charlie lives in New York. Being mentally challenged Charlie gets laughed at a lot and doesn’t realize this. Charlie gets chosen for an operation to make him smarter. But getting the operation has consequences. Charlie loses his friends and his job. Charlie also learns a lesson about life, love, and friends. I thought Flowers For Algernon was a really good book. I learned a lot. Five Stars. -annaleeliz and Buttons
