th (5)After the very successful Nashville sit-in campaign, John Lewis is even more committed to change the world through nonviolence. Because of that John Lewis joins the Freedom Riders. As he and his brother Freedom Riders board a bus going into the heart of the deep south, they will be tested like never before. Threatened with beatings, arson, police brutality, imprisonment, and even murder, the movement’s activists put their lives on the line while internal conflicts threaten to tear them apart. Their courage will attract the eye of powerful allies, from Martin Luther King Jr. and President Kennedy. And once Lewis is elected chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, John Lewis with be thrust into the national spotlight with the rest of the “Big Six”. Soon not after that the March on Washington starts and John Lewis has to finish his speech.

This book is amazing. I love it so much!!!! I do not even have anything bad to say!!!!! What is wrong with me? This book is so awesome that after I finish reading the third book I will write a letter to Congressman John Lewis to tell him how awesome his books are. Okay, so I know that these books talk about the bad stuff that happened to African Americans but it also describes it in a way that everyone can understand. Which is a great thing. Also that was the third comic book I have read in my life. Okay, so to sum it all up, MARCH Book Two is as amazing as the first book. Or even better. Five Stars. Thanks for Reading!!!! Have a Great Day!!!! -annaleeliz and Buttons
