Thank you to Natasha Sapienza for generously sending me this book through Overdrive. All opinions are my own.
After Nulle’s brother leaves his father sends him to the Academy to find the original Acumen and learn from it. Nuelle does exactly that. He follows the book to the letter. (Get my pun) As he does this he learns things that change and break him. But in time… they might make him stronger.
This book was moderate. It was not great yet it was not terrible. I am sure that from that one sentence you can tell what the ratting will be. Sorry but I am still going to write a review.
The characters were OK. Like I said above this book was not great nor was it bad. The main character, Nulle, was bland. He had just enough description to make him a good character but not enough to make that amph into the love that character, I wish he was my boyfriend mode. One of the things that I enjoyed is all the creatures. I loved them all but they did not play an important enough role to warm my heart to much. The characters were like this emoji:😶.
The plot moved a little to fast for my liking. I think that the author could have added a hundred or so pages to the book and that would have added so much to the book. The characters would have been better, the plot would have been better if it was slower. The plot idea was very good. I enjoyed it a lot. It was not anything like any other story that I have read. This book had the potential to be great. Even though it was not as good as I hoped that it would be, Prodigy Prince was still an intriguing read. I will stay tuned for a sequel. I suggest it for a pleasure read that you read for fun not for writing style.
Even though this book did not live up to what I hoped it was still a fun read. Please remember to fill out my survey!!!! You can find the link on my about page. Thanks for Reading!!! Have a Great Day!! -Annalee and Buttons
