The Book Blogger Insider Tag

As you can see I have been nominated for another tag. It is amazing!!! A big Thank-You to Angelica Destler @ Dreaming of Fiction if you haven’t followed your blog you totally should because she is amazing!!! Now, onto the tag!!!

Rules:

1. Answer the questions below

2. Credit the creator Jamie @ALittleSliceofJamie

3. Tag at least 5 people

4. Have fun!

1. Where do you typically write your blog posts?

I always blog on my laptop which is awesome (thank you wonderful parents for getting it for me). Normally, at my desk, although sometimes I write my posts on my bed. I used to blog on my Kindle, which sucked because of screen typing.

2. How long does it generally take you to write a book review?

Honestly, I don’t know. It used to take me an hour but then I started taking breaks while writing my reviews and I found out about the schedule button, which has made my life a lot easier, so I can’t really tell you. But I do know that the writing part goes quicker when I like the book. And that it goes longer when the book was “ok” or I hated it.

3. When did you start your book blog?

I think I started at the end of March and then my first post was on April 1st.

4. What is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

To me it is creating the graphics and making everything look nice. You see these beautiful blogs and are thinking? How do they do that? Where do they get that stuff and how do they insert it with out a Business plan? I had to learn to do what I liked and to realize that as long as my blog looked okay to me, then other people would probably like it too.

5. What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

I have to agree with Angelica on this one. All of the great book recommendations!!! Duh. My TBR is like 350 books strong and still going. It’s impressive. I don’t know how I’ll ever finish them all.

6. What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?

I’m going to have to go with my first (and only) discussion post, Discussion: How to get (force) friends to read a book that you’ve recommended. It was so fun to write and I got such positive feedback on it. Thanks guys!!! While writing it I was worried that I would get it wrong and no one would like it. But then I realized that if it was good enough for me than it was good enough for anyone.

7. What is your favorite type of blog post to write?

I’ve got to say, tags or awards. They are so fun and you get to share the love with other bloggers and maybe shove some of your readers to other amazing blogs!!! What’s not to love?

8. When do you typically write?

Whenever I feel like it. Mostly, whenever I finish a book and whenever I feel up to doing the tag or award. And then I schedule everything ahead of time so that I don’t have posts coming out every day like I used to. I like this arrangement better.

9. Do you review every book you read?

I try to. I don’t review DNFs for some reason and sometimes I just don’t feel like reviewing a certain book so I don’t. Sorry guys. Like Angelica I don’t review the books I have to read for school. Sorry not sorry.

10. How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?

Didn’t we already ask this question? Well, I write my posts on my computer, normally while streaming some 1 hour long fantasy music on Youtube and I have frequent breaks to read another book.

11. When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?

I think I already answered this question somewhere but I review my books write after I finish them, or as close to that as I can get (I blame you school), so that the plot and characters are still in my head.

12. How often do you post?

I post every 3 days and I think that it is way easier this way. In the beginning I posted once a day and most of the things that I posted weren’t that good because of the stress to post things once a day. Now I schedule things ahead of time and there is way less stress.

I Tag…

Anyone who wants to this because I don’t want to tag anyone that I’ve already tagged so that I can take the stress out of it.

That was really fun!!! And long. 800 words. This is my longest post on Buttons Book Reviews!!! Please remember to fill out my survey!! You can find the link on my about page. Thanks for Reading!!! Have a Great Day!! -Annalee and Buttons
