LifeL1K3, by Jay Kristoff

This book wasn’t that bad, but it also wasn’t Illuminae good. I liked it a lot, but in the beginning, I mixed up a lot of the characters, but at about 50 pages in I had it all under control. The plot was amazing and I was so engrossed and the setting was super descriptive.
The writing style was so different from Illuminae. I think that it was because Illuminae was coauthored and LIFEL1K3 was only written by Mr. Kristoff. His style is not what I am used to reading, but it’s amazing all on its own. I am addicted to his writing and cannot wait to read more of his work. I think that it is very interesting that Mr. Kristoff can write coauthored books and his own at the same time. I am always impressed when authors can do this, and I hope that I can do this when I am a published author as well.
The characters were so intense and I even though I didn’t match names to personalities and dialogue until 50 pages in, I understood them all and felt for all of them. I missed reading about hackers, but it was fine. I loved the way that all of them talked and the dialogue that they repeatedly said (and it didn’t get very annoying). I can’t wait to read more about the characters and I hope that all of them get the ending they deserve.LIFEL1K3 Quotes
The Gnosis Labs were super interesting and I wanted to read more about that group. More than I have already been told, that is. I also want to know more about BioMass and Deadlus Labs. They seem really interesting and I can’t wait to hear more about them in the next book. The only big tech company that we heard a lot about was Gnosis Labs, which was understandable, considering the circumstances. I cannot wait to read more about all of the tech companies in the next book.
The plot was very interesting and I was engrossed in it from page one. I loved how the book started off, with a bot fight. That was a good way to get readers hooked on LifeL1K3. I was so interested in this book and I can’t wait to see what else Mr. Kristoff digs up when the next book in the Lifelike series comes out. The book ended with a plot twist that makes everyone need the next book. Now.
I liked this book quite a lot, and even though it’s not as good as Illuminae, I will pick up the sequel as soon as it comes out. I got the summary from the publisher’s website. Remember to fill out my survey. You can find the link to it on my About page. Thanks for Reading!!!! Have a Great Day!!! -Annalee and Buttons
